Countdown to the reopening of Isole Borromee, the Rocca di Angera and the Parco Pallavicino
With the approach of spring, the reopening of Isola Bella, Isola Madre, Parco Pallavicino in the area of Stresa and the Rocca di Angera on the Lombard side of Lago Maggiore draws ever closer.
From 20 March 2020 Terre Borromeo will again be welcoming visitors, providing experiences in the name of art, fine food, sports and shopping, immersed in nature and in the historic charm of the locations.
The initiatives and innovations are numerous and of various kinds, meeting all demands with a wide range of proposals. A few details in advance?
At Palazzo Borromeo, on Isola Bella, from 20 March to 2 September, the exhibition “Vitaliano VI. The Invention of Isola Bella” devoted to Vitaliano VI, founder of the island, will take place on the occasion of the 400th anniversary of his birth (1620).
Isola Madre opens its gates in dazzling fashion, with the restyling of its and the opening of a new restaurant, La Piratera. Of course, the flowering plants, the exotic species in its garden, the perfumes and the rare plants continue to be the protagonists.
At the Rocca di Angera, finally, from 20 April to 27 September the rooms of the Ala Scaligera will host the third edition of the contemporary art exhibition. Fantastic Utopias is the title; it is an exhibition itinerary with works by 15 artists of international renown, curated by Ilaria Bonacossa and in collaboration with Galleria Continua.
